Jil Sander for woman
Jil Sander began her career as a fashion editor at German magazine Petra. In 1967 at the age of 24, she opened her first eponymous store, using her mother’s sewing machine to bring her creations to life. When her brand was listed on the Frankfurt stock exchange at the end of the 1980s, she used the capital she gained to expand into Asia and North America. Jil received the nickname “Queen of Less”, and it’s not hard to see why. Her designs have a strong focus on clean lines and a refined, modern take on minimalism, and although Jil herself hasn’t been at the helm of the company in recent years, her original vision lives on.
Our selection of pieces from Jil Sander is elegant, modern and minimalistic. These staple pieces will feel at home in almost any closet—from shirts, t-shirts, sweaters and trousers to coats, bags, totes and shoes, you’re sure to find a new favorite.
