Nili Lotan launched her eponymous brand in 2003 after a very successful career in fashion design having worked at top fashion houses like Ralph Lauren, Liz Claiborne, and Nautica. But before she moved to New York in 1980 to pursue a fashion career, she lived in Israel where she studied at the prestigious Shenkar College of Engineering and Design and completed a two-year compulsory military service which she says influences her designs even to this day. Her service number has become an identifier for the brand and her designs often feature nods to military style. Over the last 20 years, she’s built her brand into the global success it is today, with features in top fashion and lifestyle publications like Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, and a star-studded fanbase that consists of names like Rihanna, Gigi Hadid, Jennifer Lawrence, and Gwyneth Paltrow.
