Philosophy was established by Alberta Ferretti, who wanted to capture the contemporary woman and ethereal femininity. Synonymous with romance and bohemian style, the brand was taken over in 2014 by Creative Director Lorenzo Serafini who had just come from heading up Roberto Cavalli’s women’s department. He draws inspiration from the world’s numerous cultures, the women he meets, and the iconic women (both past and present) who have contributed to the concept of Italian elegance. His designs are utterly feminine, and sensual, toeing the line between glamorous and edgy, and have been spotted on big names like Chiara Ferragni, Rita Ora, and Hailey Bieber.
