It all started with Nicky Zimmermannm, who started designing dresses from her parents’ garage to sell at Paddington markets in Sydney. In doing so, she was able to see customers’ first-hand reactions to her clothing which allowed her to refine her style. During this time, she was featured on a two-page spread in Australian Vogue which resulted in her receiving orders from boutiques all over Australia. She opened her first store in Darlinghurst, and in 1991 her sister Simone joined the company. In its early days, the brand focused on swimwear, creating stylish one-pieces and bikinis that were flattering and sexy. Nowadays, they have a huge variety of items, including clothing, accessories, jewelry, shoes, and, of course, their iconic swimwear.
